FAQ

Planning a 4WD adventure in Broome?

Here are answers to the most common questions about our private, personalised 4WD tours. If you don’t see what you’re looking for, feel free to get in touch - we’re always happy to help.

Are your tours private or shared?

All tours are completely private. It’s just you and your group (1–4 passengers), with no strangers and no set schedule. You’ll travel at your own pace and enjoy a personalised experience from start to finish.

Is 4WD really necessary?

Yes - many of the most beautiful locations around Broome are only accessible by 4WD.

With Stu’s Tours, you can relax knowing you’re in experienced hands with the right vehicle and local knowledge to get you there safely.

Is the tour suitable for all ages?

Yes - our tours are suitable for couples, families and small groups.

We tailor the day to suit your comfort level and interests.

How long are the tours?

We offer three options:

Half Day Tour – 4 hours

Full Day Tour – 8 hours

Custom Tour – tailored to your preferences (often longer)

How much does a tour cost?

Half Day Tour – $600

Full Day Tour – $1100

Pricing is per tour (not per person) and includes up to 4 passengers.

What should we bring?

We recommend bringing:

Water

Hat and sunscreen

Comfortable clothing

Swimwear (if you’d like to cool off)

Camera or phone for photos

We’ll take care of everything else.

What locations do you visit?

Each tour is tailored on the day, but popular locations include:

Coconut Well

Willie Creek / Flat Rock

Barred Creek

Quondong Point

James Price Point

We plan your day based on tides, weather and conditions to ensure you experience each location at its best.

If needed, we’ll adjust the itinerary to ensure you still have a great experience.

Can we choose where we go?

Absolutely. We’ll suggest the best options based on conditions, then you decide what suits your group.

It’s all about your day, your way.

How far in advance should we book?

We recommend booking as early as possible - especially during the Dry Season (peak tourist season) - to secure your preferred date.

Why choose Stu’s Tours?

Private, personalised experiences

Local knowledge of tides, tracks and conditions

Access to remote locations

Flexible, relaxed pace

No crowds—just your group

The more you explore, the more beautiful and interesting it gets—and we’ll help you make the most of it.

Do you provide hotel pick-up?

Yes - we offer door-to-door service, picking you up from your accommodation and dropping you back at the end of the tour.

Do your tours run in the Wet Season?

Yes - we operate all year round.

The Wet Season offers a completely different experience, with dramatic skies, vibrant colours and fewer people. Many locations are still accessible, and we carefully plan each tour around conditions.

What happens if the weather isn’t great?

We monitor weather and conditions closely. Tours are planned to avoid unsuitable conditions, and storms in Broome are often short-lived and later in the day.

If needed, we’ll adjust the itinerary to ensure you still have a great experience.
